影片改编自林秀赫同名短篇小说。讲述谕明与依庭相遇于大学图书馆里的深度安静区，两人相爱并走入婚姻，正期待迎接第一个孩子。然而，依庭的意外自杀让谕明陷入混乱与痛苦。他想起依庭在怀孕后变得异常，甚至提出离婚。自责的谕明照顾起依庭的家人，透过深入了解她的家庭后，开始理解她的行径，以及她无法面对自己父亲的原因，真相却让人难以接受。
