　　Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.　　Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory?　　n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.　　What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.　　On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.　　One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.　　Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.

　　民初时代国家动荡不安，军阀割据导致民不聊生。曹云(林青霞饰)是大军阀曹将军的女儿，也是一个爱国者。但是不愿见到父亲帮助袁世凯以国家的名义向外国银行借贷巨款，让国家的财务更雪上加霜，于是偷偷与革命人士联络。但是一边是国家，一边是父亲也让曹云不知如何取舍而陷入内心的挣扎。白妞(叶倩文饰)从小在戏班春和班长大，被戏班主的父亲（午马饰）当作丫环使，痴迷唱戏的她一直希望登台表演，却没有机会；湘红(钟楚红饰)是一位贪财的歌妓，趁某军阀逃跑时偷走其家中一大箱珠宝，却误打误撞让珠宝运进了春和班里。这三位在姻缘巧合下结识，透过这三位主角的生命交错，共同谱出一段爱国传奇......

 2008年金融危机下，美国内华达州昂皮尔小镇的重要经济支柱石膏厂倒闭，人去镇空，这里的邮政编码也被取消。丈夫去世后，几乎在在昂皮尔小镇度过了一生的弗恩（弗兰西斯·麦克多蒙德饰）无力独撑生活。为了将生活成本压到最低，她将简陋的家当搬上了改装后的厢式货车，开始了一边打工、一边西行的公路生活。她在亚马逊流水线上、在游乐园的咖啡厅里、在国家森林公园做临时工。一路上，她和许多厢式货车寄居者相遇、相识，彼此帮助，并缔结了友谊。

　　暑假来临，大学新生刘易斯·托马斯（保罗·沃克尔 Paul Walker 饰）决定穿州过省，前往新泽西去看望他自高中时代便喜欢的女孩维娜·威尔柯斯（Leelee Sobieski 饰）。为了打发旅途上的无聊时光，他将正因酒后驾车蹲局子的老哥富勒（史蒂夫·赞恩 Steve Zahn 饰）保释出来，兄弟俩一路通行。　　旅途中，富勒买了一部车载对讲机，与其他的司机扯皮聊天。期间他们搭上一个绰号“锈钉”的卡车司机，富勒突发奇想，怂恿弟弟假扮女人用对讲机勾引锈钉。对他们来说，这似乎是旅途中一个无伤大雅、转眼就忘的玩笑。没想到他们却惹上了这个难缠和恐怖的家伙。在接下来的时间里，锈钉成为刘易斯、富勒和维娜难以摆脱的噩梦……

 一颗陨石撞击苏格兰偏远森林，意外唤醒了自尼安德特人时代就蛰伏地底、以骨骼为食的远古克苏鲁式怪兽 “守骨异兽”。1976 年，调查者詹姆斯・惠勒深入洞穴后离奇失踪，仅留下一张怪兽剪影的 8mm 胶片。数十年后，他的孙女奥利维亚为寻找同样失踪的母亲，带领一群好友与怪兽专家哈里斯教授，深入洞穴系统调查连环失踪案，却不知自己正被这只地底生物步步猎杀，陷入绝境求生的猎杀游戏。
